Android, OS Smartphone Number 1 in AS

Android, as reported by BGR, controls 29% of the smartphone market while the IOS from Apple and BlackBerry equally share 27%. Meanwhile, the Windows OS Phone (including Windows 7) ranks next with 10%.

Viewed from the context, these numbers are not a big surprise. Gadgets that use Android amount more than the IOS is only used in the iPhone or RIM BlackBerry concentrate fully on. That's why, even though IOS is in second place, but the iPhone remains the best selling smartphone for U.S. citizens.

Such well-known smartphone Droid, HTC EVO, Galaxy, and the Nexus is expected to continue this trend. Moreover, with the support of OS updates like Froyo and Gingerbread plus the growing Android Market, the potential for Android is expected to be even greater.
